WHAT MAKES TRAFFIC CONVERT?: By BLONDIE

One of the most commonly asked questions by webmasters to sponsor programs is "how well do your sites convert"? Now this question is very general and of course many contributing factors effect how well a site converts. Of course, the type of traffic being sent to the site is important, however it is primarily the sales formula, which incorporates several key elements that determine whether or not a site will convert from surfers into members!

An attractive site, is always a matter of opinion, however it is clear that such aspects as professional design techniques and quality content contribute largely. Over and above this, such aspects as effective sales text that 'draws' the surfer in, strategically chosen images, small file size ensuring fast loading, and of course a smooth hitch-free join process that is simple, fast and accommodating all play a large part in the 'conversion process. - Keeping the member in the site, is a whole new ball game - we'll get to that another day;)

The best way to build a site is to empathise with the surfer - imagine what you would be looking for if you were faced with a potential site to join. Naturally, if it's a foot-fetish site or an anal fisting site you may have difficulty identifying - well, I hope so;), My point is, however, you only have several minutes to convince the surfer to 'look further' or 'buy' a membership so it is in this moment that you have the opportunity to 'pitch your sale'.

The simplest way to view it is, to remember that it is no different than a customer in a store faced with many products to choose from. The below principles are common and apply to any sales of a service and/or product.

Quality for Money - The surfer needs to know that what they will receive for their money far outweighs the outlay, a trial will entice them more.

Convenience - We are in the days of the 'fast-food' mentality. A fast loading site and a worry-free join process is no different to a drive-thru meal - surfers will not wait - want to be fed right now!

Uniqueness - Everyone wants something fresh and new - its human nature - so it is important to make your site stand out from the pack. Unique content, or 'value-added' features will do this. Don't follow what everyone else is doing, be bold and try new concepts.

The above points apply to all sales - however remember that by building and promoting an adult site you have the added bonus of the old cliché " Sex sells" - because it always has and always willJ Its all about ensuring its YOU who gets the sale!
